Drape · iOS · last updated November 3, 2026

Drape turns a photo of a person plus a garment into product-style images: you pick a pose and a camera angle, we render the same person wearing that garment. This page covers the things people ask us most. If it does not answer your question, email us — a human replies.

1. Getting a result

  1. Open the app and sign in with Apple.
  2. Pick a model from the library, or upload your own photo (the face must be clearly visible and unobstructed).
  3. Pick a garment from the library, or upload a photo of the garment on a plain background.
  4. Pick a pose, and optionally a camera angle.
  5. Tap generate. One image costs one credit. Rendering usually takes 40–120 seconds.

If a render fails, the credit is returned automatically. You do not need to ask for it.

2. Credits and purchases

Credits are sold in packs through In-App Purchase. The number of credits in each pack is shown on the paywall and on the App Store product page before you pay. Credits are consumed one per generated image and do not expire.

Credits did not arrive after paying? Open the paywall and tap “Restore purchases”, or relaunch the app — the app re-checks any unfinished transaction with Apple on launch. If the balance is still wrong, email us with the date and the App Store receipt number (Apple emails you a receipt for every purchase) and we will fix the balance.

Consumable credits cannot be restored across devices or reinstalls by Apple’s design. Your balance lives on our server against your sign-in, so signing in with the same Apple ID on a new phone keeps your balance.

3. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are decided by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a refund is granted, the corresponding credits are removed from the balance.

4. Delete your account and your photos

In the app: Settings → Delete account. This immediately removes your account, your remaining credit balance, your uploaded photos, the garment photos you uploaded, and every generated image we still hold. It cannot be undone.

If you cannot open the app, email us from any address and ask for deletion; tell us the Apple ID you signed in with. We delete within 7 days and confirm by reply.

Photos and results are deleted from our servers automatically within 7 days even if you do nothing.

5. Troubleshooting

The paywall says the shop is unavailable

That means the app could not reach our server, not that the products are missing. Check your connection and tap “Retry” on the paywall.

“Generation failed”

Usually a photo the renderer cannot read (very large file, HEIC conversion issue, or a face that is too small in frame). Try a photo under 12 MB with the face clearly visible. Credits for failed renders are returned automatically.

The person in the result does not look like my photo

Our pipeline checks identity after every render and re-renders once if the face drifted, refunding you if it still fails. If you get a result you consider wrong, email us the job time and we will look at it.

Exporting or sharing

Tap a result and choose save or share. Exported files carry AI-generated metadata; we ask you to disclose that the image is AI-generated where the law requires it.

6. What Drape is not

Drape is a tool for people selling clothing. It is not a face-swap or deepfake tool: you must have the right to use every photo you upload, including permission from the person in it. We remove access for anyone using it to impersonate others.
